Bridal : Bridal Portfolio Building Session - We had a super fun bridal portfolio shoot - 3 gorgegous models - designer wedding gowns - hair and make up artists - wonderful lighting set ups and an awesome wedding venue that is a renovated Victorian home in Kennesaw Georgia. It was raining out, so we kept everything inside of the house which is fine since it was hot and humid outside. About Me : Sheri Johnson works and resides in the Metro Atlanta, GA area (Cumming, Georgia / Forsyth County). My serious interest in photography began in 1987 with the birth of my first daughter. I tried to get good pictures of her with my point and shoot camera with no good results. In an effort to not let her grow up without documenting it through images, I purchased my first 35mm SLR film camera. I became obsessed about learning all I could about photography through self study and then got hired by a portrait photography company and acquired a good amount of on the job training and experience. In 1989-1990 I took a course in photography to further my learning. Over the years I have done many personal projects, during the 90's I found another interest in hand retouching photographic prints. Nowadays I work with 100% digital and of course have learned how to work in the "digital darkroom". Why wedding photography? Before I decided to pursue wedding photography, I was working exclusively with my husband as a wedding DJ/emcee. I have become so accustomed to spending time helping couples plan their weddings and carrying out the duties on the wedding day that I couldn't wait to be the one taking the role of wedding photographer and the great part is most times I am still working with my husband as he handles the DJ/emcee/video responsibilities. We work well together and we both LOVE weddings. We also love watching stories and movies about how people have met and fell in love, we are suckers for romance. We have fun doing what we do and it shows. When we are not working, some of the things we love to do are roller-skate, ride bikes or just run around town together. Looking back at our own wedding, I only have one regret and that is that I did not hire a photographer, for both of us it was not our first wedding so I let our family members take pictures, none of which turned out how I had hoped, I am thankful however for the video. Information : I don't believe in buying time blocks for a wedding as everyone knows weddings many times don't adhere to strict timelines, I am just being realistic. I can't tell you how many times photographers have been complaining how the bride only hired them for 4 hours and they need to leave hoping that the timeline would change to suit their needs. Because of this, my packages don't constrict you to a certain amount of hours. Wedding Coverage begins at $1250 + tax. Packages are available with coffee table books & albums as well as wall sized images and more ranging from $1600-$6500, I also do a la carte so you can customize a package all your own. I am currently offering special incentives to get you a book or album or wall sized print. I will provide full coverage of your wedding day including getting ready as well as your engagement photo shoot before your wedding, this will give us a chance to get to know each other which in turn will help all of us (you, me and him) come wedding day, ensuring you with a better photography experience. As far as wedding albums go, everything is designed professionally in magazine style layouts. I offer coffee table books and flushmount albums, so there is a book or album for every budget. Duplicate parent albums are also available. All books and albums are available with a variety of cover options including leather, faux leather and full image cover wraps. If you decide you are wanting a wall sized image, then the canvas gallery wraps are just what you are looking for if you like the modern look, they come ready to hang in numerous sizes. You can trust I am always looking for the creative shot, the artistic shot and the shot that captures the emotions, love and romance you two share. One of the most popular questions I am asked is if I provide high resolution images on disc and the answer is YES! And YES that does include a personal usage and print copyright license. I also can make recommendations on how to get the best quality prints of your wedding images and if you want access to a professional photography printing lab, I already have that all set up to get prints made that are boutique quality. Now you might also be wondering if I will do images for you other than a wedding, and sure enough, I am interested in that too, but weddings are my main focus. I am experienced in portraiture of people all ages from infants and up to entire families and yes, even pets and real estate. I have shot at all kinds of events and almost any kind of photography you can imagine. I work (shoot) on location and not in a studio as I find it is way more interesting and you can find better light if you look for natural light sources. I like to let the pictures tell the story about you, the real you, or at least the you, that you want to portray :) I do however have a fully mobile professional photography studio I can set up at your location if you have room to accommodate it. I have also started offering the recently popular live photo booth for weddings and events, my photo booth includes instant print photo strips. I am also very experienced at working with photo editing, so I am sure that you are going to be very pleased with what I have to offer. Tony Gonzalez Shop with a Jock 2010 : there are a mix of photos here from 3 different photographers, we had fun and we know the kids had so much fun shopping with the athletes, truth be told, the athletes had fun too. I know Walmart sold a LOT of footballs last night because everyone wanted the Atlanta Falcons team members to autograph their footballs and/or shirts, so as you can imagine there were a lot of autographs being signed. My job was to send each of the kids home with a photo from the evening. I know I couldn't have done this without the great help from my assistants and my dear hubby :)

I am offering my designing services to other wedding photographers that don't do wedding album design and to brides & grooms (aka newlyweds) who hired a photographer that does not offer wedding albums or coffee table books, or it may be that you didn't even hire a photographer but that a few of your friends were there to document your day, whatever your reason for stumbling across my page, you are welcome! I offer modern designs, magazine style layouts, clean uncluttered designs. You have input on what style or features you like... OR you can let me take the full creative reigns and create your custom wedding album or coffee table book without any input and go by my gut instincts of what will look best with your images. I have books and albums to suit any budget from a couple hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars, you will be amazingly surprised at what I can do without it costing you too much. If you want to appreciate the quality of my books and albums, let's meet in person so you can see and touch them. In case you are reading this and you are not in the metro Atlanta area but perhaps in another part of the country, YES, I can design for you and ship to you! My only requirement is that you are in USA since I do not ship outside of the country. I welcome your questions. What I require from you to begin design on your book or album: Written permission from any photographers involved in your images High resolution digital images with no watermarks or visible copyrights Only submit images and elements that are to be included in your book or album, detail shots can be provided that are used for backgrounds or textures. The quantity of pages and size of your book will dictate how many images will be included in your design, normally anywhere from 50-100 images, though more pages can be added if you want to use more. Written agreement and payment, your book or album will be completed very quickly. If you would like to create some stunning wedding images and didn't have an opportunity to do so on your wedding day, I would like to also let you know that we can do an "After Wedding Bride & Groom Session" with the focus on creative artsy well lit studio quality images. If you opt for this, these images can also be included in your book or album and would likely make the ideal full wrap photo cover for your book and additionally make great wall art for your new home together.

Your Bio

Sheri Johnson works and resides in the Metro Atlanta, GA area (Cumming, Georgia / Forsyth County).

My serious interest in photography began in 1987 with the birth of my first daughter. I tried to get good pictures of her with my point and shoot camera with no good results. In an effort to not let her grow up without documenting it through images, I purchased my first 35mm SLR film camera. I became obsessed about learning all I could about photography through self study and then got hired by a portrait photography company and acquired a good amount of on the job training and experience. In 1989-1990 I took a course in photography to further my learning. Over the years I have done many personal projects, during the 90's I found another interest in hand retouching photographic prints. Nowadays I work with 100% digital and of course have learned how to work in the "digital darkroom".

Why wedding photography? Before I decided to pursue wedding photography, I was working exclusively with my husband as a wedding DJ/emcee. I have become so accustomed to spending time helping couples plan their weddings and carrying out the duties on the wedding day that I couldn't wait to be the one taking the role of wedding photographer and the great part is most times I am still working with my husband as he handles the DJ/emcee/video responsibilities. We work well together and we both LOVE weddings. We also love watching stories and movies about how people have met and fell in love, we are suckers for romance. We have fun doing what we do and it shows. When we are not working, some of the things we love to do are roller-skate, ride bikes or just run around town together. Looking back at our own wedding, I only have one regret and that is that I did not hire a photographer, for both of us it was not our first wedding so I let our family members take pictures, none of which turned out how I had hoped, I am thankful however for the video.
